Preview of the Cobra Amp Cell Driver
Purchasing a driver just got easier. Cobra is attempting to revolutionize the golf equipment market with the release of their new AMP Cell driver. The AMP Cell is loaded with new technology, highlighted by MyFly Technology. True to the new direction of the company, brighter is better with numerous color options. Choose from an orange, blue, red or silver club head. Next, simply set the loft to fit your game. Lofts run between 8.5 and 11.5 degrees. Finally, select the shaft. Choosing a driver has never been so easy.
The MyFly Technology will benefit both the golfer and retail shops. Golf shop’s will no longer have to carry a huge inventory ranging in loft and shaft selections. Rather, the golfer simply chooses the color of the club head while they can manipulate any loft for their game. Change the loft for any condition, whether it is windy or a perfect day. My prediction is the MyFly Technology will be a home run for the upcoming season. While white club heads have become popular the last few years, Cobra will capitalize on bright club heads in 2013.
Cobra utilizes a SmartPad Techology in the new product. SmartPad creates a square face at address regardless of loft setting. In addition, players will have the ability to open or close the driver in the address position.
Finally, the Cobra AMP Cell and E9 Technology displaces 12% of the weight for a larger sweet spot and faster ball speeds, even on off center hits. Every golfer will benefit from the larger sweet spot and faster ball speed.
The Cobra Amp Cell Driver is available starting February 8, 2013 with three different models. The AMP Cell is the standard driver with a standard price tag of $299. The Amp Cell Pro is designed for the low handicap player and retails at $399. The Cobra AMP Cell Off-set driver will help straighten ball flight and sells for $249.
