The Spaniards have arrived!

Submitted by golfdaze on Sat, 10/11/2008 – 08:49.

I enjoyed the Women’s Golf Center.com’s Blog articles on Women’s Professional Golf and agree that the more we know about women golfers, the more likely we are to be rooting for them.

I found some statistics myself that some of you might be interested in.

Did anyone notice that three Spanish women made it to the quarterfinal round at the Women’s Amateur in Oregon and two of those survived the quarterfinals. It’s unusual for so many Spanish women at one time to be playing such quality golf.

Of the 121 women on the LPGA tour, only Emma Cabrera-Bello a rookie with nonexempt status is Spanish.

Golfweek listed 4 Spanish women is their pre-season college top 10 list.

There are 17 Spanish women on the European Tour.

Have you seen any interesting Women’s Stats lately.
